Chris Pratt emerges from the surf, ready to deliver violent retribution in the new teaser for The Terminal List. The latest trailer for the upcoming Amazon Prime series, starring Pratt and Taylor Kitsch, just dropped, and it looks brutal. The two minutes of footage reveal a whole new side to Pratt’s portrayal of fictional SEAL Cmdr. James Reece.
It’s clear that Reece is abandoning all semblance of standard protocol and embarking on a journey of retaliation. The action-packed clip shows a team of SEALs sneaking through a flooded tunnel before a massive explosion decimates the operators. Jump cuts go from Reece dealing with a mysterious brain injury in a hospital to scenes of him wielding an array of weapons against his team’s attackers. Fans of Jack Carr’s bestselling books already know Reece is fighting for more than his fallen comrades, and he’s not letting anything, or anyone, get in the way of him exacting vengeance.
“You’re not at war; you’re at home. There’s a difference,” a concerned voice pleads with Reece, to which he replies, “Not anymore.”
The epic teaser is backed by a haunting rendition of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” and as the rock anthem ramps up, Reece is seen fetching two Winkler Sayok tomahawks before getting in a firefight in downtown traffic, killing from afar with a bolt-action rifle, and stalking through the darkness while burning vehicles illuminate his rifle at the ready.
The series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 1.
