Derek Gannon

Derek Gannon is a contributing editor for Coffee or Die Magazine. As a conflict journalist, he has gained international renown for his foreign affairs analysis, most notably his coverage of US military activity in Africa. His previous bylines include The Fusion Cell, War is Boring, SOFREP.com, and War College. Derek is also a Green Beret veteran of the Global War on Terror, having served in the 82nd Airborne Division, 173rd Airborne Brigade, Ranger Training Brigade, and “The Legion” 5th Special Forces Group (A/1/5 CIF).
